‘Shark Tank’ Winner Wants Apology From WWE Star

Submitted by on October 9, 2012 – 10:00 am Comments

If a person demands an apology from a WWE wrestler who is 6’5”, 239-pounds, you would probably yell ‘what the hell’, is this person thinking. But, that is what ‘Shark Tank’ winner Shelly Ehler is demanding, from Alberto Del Rio, for making her 8-year old cry. Ehler who scored a $75k investment on “Tank” for her ShoNo towels, is one determined lady. She basically has a beef with Alberto Del Rio because he ripped up a sign being held up by Ehler’s son, during a recent WWE event in Anaheim, CA.

Well going by Del Rio’s size, you would think, he managed to rip the cardboard sign into shreds within minutes, but that is where you would be wrong. The big man surprisingly couldn’t manage that, and it took him some time to rip it piece by piece. Probably, seeing that Del Rio couldn’t even rip a cardboard sign in half, must have given Ehler her much needed courage, that and the fact that her son began to cry the moment the sign was snatched from him. Basically, the 8-year old was terrified. You would probably say, ‘what the hell’ was Rio thinking? When he tried to scare a mere child, but we all know that it’s all an act. Also, in Rio’s defense one must say the child was holding a sign that said ‘Sheamus You Rock!!!’ Sheamus as it turns out, was Rio’s opponent for the night.

Just imagine, you are going out to fight someone and you are all charged up, and then you see someone holding a sign that says the guy you are going to fight “rocks”, how would that make you feel? If your answer is that it would make you feel crappy, you probably understand where Rio was coming from. Shelly though, voiced her displeasure on Twitter and even shot off an angry letter to WWE. In the letter she says, “Take signs from adults NOT KIDS!  My son was bullied by your superstars and it is not okay”.

Alberto Del Rio must surely be yelling ‘what the hell’ on being informed about the letter, as he was only playing a part, just like in a movie. A WWE rep also confirmed this and expressed regret saying “While Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez were portraying their WWE characters; we sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding that may have occurred.”
