Sally Field Reveals She Is Bi!

Submitted by on November 14, 2012 – 12:07 pm Comments

Now here is a piece of news that will have you yelling ‘what the hell’ more than once. Sally Field recently revealed that, she is a bisexual. She made this shocking revelation on Jimmy Fallon’s show. The actress was there to promote her new film “Lincoln,” but let this other bit of news drop as well. “I’m sort of basically now ‘bi,’” she said matter-of-fact. Well if that doesn’t have you yelling ‘what the hell’ nothing will. The most surprising part is that, she was so very nonchalant about the revelation and spilled the beans, like it was no big deal.

Fallon on his part was so very perplexed with what Sally said that he was quoted as saying “Congratulations…that’s a big announcement”. Then, he added, “What exactly does that mean?” Surely, he must have yelled ‘what the hell’ the whole time in his head, after he heard Sally make this revelation. Meanwhile replying to Fallon’s question, Sally answered “It means I have a place on both coasts”. Honestly, the way she made this revelation, it seemed as if she was talking about some movie of hers. Surely, all Sally Field fans too must be yelling ‘what the hell’ after hearing the revelation.

Interestingly, Sally never seemed liked the one to play for both the teams. In fact, Field married Steven Craig in 1968. The couple had two sons; Peter Craig, a novelist, and Eli Craig, an actor and director. Craig and Field divorced in 1975. Then, Sally Field was romantically involved with Burt Reynolds for many years, during which time they co-starred in several films, including Smokey and the Bandit, Smokey and the Bandit II, and The End.

She married film producer Alan Greisman in 1984, and they had one son, Sam in 1987; Field and Greisman divorced in 1993. If her marriages are anything to go by, her coming out and revealing she is a bi-sexual is all the more shocking. Bet, all her ex-husbands and her children too, must be yelling ‘what the hell’, after this recent revelation. Of course, another way of looking at it is that, she never stuck with one single man, because she was probably all her life, also attracted to women.
