For the most part, this week’s Top In Box Office is the same with the exception of the number 4 spot going to The Words, thus kicking Bourne Legacy out of the Top 5 for this week. The Possession still dominates the the box office with it’s unique story and thrilling sequences. Here is the list in full. The Top 5 for this week is:

1. The Possession – Clyde and Stephanie Brenek are you your typical couple with a dark secret. Their youngest daughter, Em, is possessed by a wooden box that was bought at a Yard Sale. Thinking it was nothing, the behavior turns erratic and the couple are forced to use measures they have never thought of before. They find out that the wooden box is host to a Dibbuk, a misplaced spirit hell-bound on eating the what is left of Em’s soul.

2. Lawless – The true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers starring Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy as the two brothers. Together they go on a crime-spree that goes down in history as they set the scene in Prohibition-era cities as they move liquor from place to place and share a tale of wild adventures. Based on the novel “The Wettest Country In The World” by Matt Bondurant.

3. The Expendables 2 – Barney, Ross, Lee Christmas, Yin Yang and the rest of the squad are back to take on what seems to be, an easy job. However, when one of their very own is killed in this “easy” job, it is up to the Expendables to get revenge as they go in guns blazing to get what they need. With the right stuff, the team will have to give it their all to be able to win this battle against a villainous adversary who was originally charged of killing their brother in arms.

4. The Words – Rory Jensen, played by Bradley Cooper, is a writer that gets his big break. However, it is not his work. As the fame starts to change Rory’s life, the past comes back in full force and he is paying for it deeply as he is the only one who knows that he stole the writings. Determined to not allow this to affect him, Rory tries everything to escape it, but it is not use.

5. Paranorman- When a town is overcome with Zombies, it is up to Norman, a normal average boy with a special gift. He can talk to the dead. With ghosts, witches and zombies to fight off, the town is cursed from centuries ago. With his special talent, he has to go through different paranormal activities that will involve his family who seem to not believe in his gift.

That is it for this week! What movies have you seen? With the rise of success that The Possession has had, do you think that they will be able to hold onto it for next week? Until next time, enjoy the movies!
