This week in the Box Office, “Skyfall” managed to beat out Twilight and Rise of the Guardians and took their place at the number one spot once again! The James Bond suspense film leaves nothing to disappoint as it is filled with exciting action sequences and thrilling plot points. The vampire sensation movie, “Twilight” fell to 3rd on the Top 5 and struggles to maintain its place in the Box Office. Guess it is over for Bella and Edward, even in the box office. The Top 5 for this week in Top In Box Office are:

1. Skyfall – In this segment of the 007 series, James Bond is tested as M’s past comes back to haunt her. He has to fight as MI6 is under attack and Bond is forced to find the source of the attack at all costs. Things become personal for Bond and he is forced once again to fight his way through so that he can get back to where he was before. With everything falling apart around him, Bond is going to find it harder than usual to get to the bottom of the crimes committed.

2. Rise of the Guardians – This tells the story of heroes who have extraordinary abilities. They are forced to fight Pitch, an evil spirit that plans to take over the world. The Guardians have to join together if they have any chance at defeating the evil foe and protect their hopes, beliefs and imagination of the children around the world.

3. Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part Two – The Epic story of Bella and Edward comes to a conclusion as it continues from the first part with the birth of Renesmee, the daughter of Bella and Edward. When the other vampire leaders here of this, they go after the Cullens for the abomination. However, the Cullens are ready since they have gathered other vampire clans to fight against the Volturi, the leaders who want to see justice.

4. Lincoln – In the heat of the Civil War, Lincoln must tread lightly as he is about to perform the biggest feat so that the nation will stop the fighting. In doing so, this will be the end of slavery. However, with one side against the other, he has to press on no matter what the costs and to show determination and desire to all people. With his choices becoming more and more finite, it is clear that there is only one direction. That is to make sure that the fate is changed for future generations and to create a better world.

5. Life of Pi – A 16-year-old Indian boy is on his way to America when the ship that he is one is wrecked in the middle of the Pacific. He and an orangutan, hyena and a tiger are on a raft as they have to fight to survive to wait for a rescue that may or may not be coming.

That’s it for the Box Office. “Life of Pi” managed to maintain their top spot and “Lincoln” as well. Both movies have a hard plot line and it is hard to compete with Action and Children. What movie are you watching this week? Enjoy your movie and snacks!
