This week in Box Office News, it seems that the Dark Knight Rises has lost its popularity as it plunged down past the Top 5. However, there are a bunch of new films that have made the cut this week! Some had thought that Bourne Legacy was going to be able to keep its number one spot, but they didn’t count on Stallone, Willis and Schwarzenegger to punch through the competition.

Here is your Top 5 for this week’s Box Office

1. The Expendables 2 – Barney, Ross, Lee Christmas, Yin Yang and the rest of the squad are back to take on what seems to be, an easy job. However, when one of their very own is killed in this “easy” job, it is up to the Expendables to get revenge as they go in guns blazing to get what they need. With the right stuff, the team will have to give it their all to be able to win this battle against a villainous adversary who was originally charged of killing their brother in arms.

2. The Bourne Legacy – Forced on the run, a man must give himself up to the same agency that Jason Bourne was created into. In order to become a government operative, he must do everything that he is ordered to do without questions. When things turn for the worse, he is on the run again as he tries to stop the men who are trying to kill him. With only a little time, it becomes a mission to escape alive.

3. Paranorman- When a town is overcome with Zombies, it is up to Norman, a normal average boy with a special gift. He can talk to the dead. With ghosts, witches and zombies to fight off, the town is cursed from centuries ago. With his special talent, he has to go through different paranormal activities that will involve his family who seem to not believe in his gift.

4. The Campaign – Cam Brady is a long-term congressman with an agenda. That is to win the upcoming election. However, when Marty Huggins, director of the Tourism Center becomes his competition, Brady is forced to kick it into high gear to be able to win the hearts of those who have loved him. In a cutthroat business, the two get locked in a heated debate and it is close. The two will stop at nothing to make sure the other doesn’t get close to getting the congressman seat.

5. Sparkle – Witney Houston’s last movie, Sparkle is a girl who struggles to become a star as the issues with her family become more than she can bear. With a new relationship with her music manager, Stix, she has to maneuver from her career and life as she and her sisters become a singing group that is turning heads in a Motown-Era century.

There you are! The TOP 5 of the week! With the many choices in the theaters this week, which ones are you going to see? Despite critics saying that the late Whitney Houston’s performance being amazing, it failed to reach the top spot of the list. With many of the movies showing, it is becoming easy where everyone is turning. Enjoy the movies!
