It has been a couple of weeks since the last Top In Box Office post, but we are back for another round. This week Argo pushes to the top spot in the Top 5 as Hotel Transylvania makes its way to 2nd place. Perfect timing for Halloween! An unknown film, Cloud Atlas with big name actors made their way and it seems to have made itself comfortable. The Top 5 for this week are:

1. Argo – True Story of the Covert Operation ‘Argo’ that managed to rescue six Americans from Iran during the hostage crisis that was hidden from the public for decades. With the teams moving in to rescue the hostages, it becomes clear that there is more to this than they were trained for. Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) leads the team as they go into a territory unfamiliar to them.

2. Hotel Transylvania – Dracula has a five-star resort that hosts monsters and their families. This is to give them a sense of peace from the humans trying to bother them. Mavis, his daughter is about to hit her 118th birthday and he wants everything to be perfect. Dracula invites monsters from all over the world. Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more are coming and they have everything ready. When a human makes his way into the castle of monsters and falls in love with Dracula’s daughter, things get a little weirder than they already are.

3. Cloud Atlas – A killer can become a hero in a action packed society as he is rippled across centuries as revolution is far from within their grasp. However, with actions that are taken are serious on how others will be affected in throughout the past, it becomes more difficult to control what is going on.

4. Paranormal Activity 4 – It has been 5 years since the disappearance of Katie and Hunter. A family starts to witness strange paranormal activity when a woman and her child move into their neighborhood. With the final act in place, this is where all the activity that has been going on has lead to.

5. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D – Heather Mason and her father are running from enemies who wish to hurt them. While on the evening of her 18th birthday, her father is kidnapped. In the midst of everything, Heather discovers something about her past that will change the course of how she proceeds and what move she is going to make next.

That’s it for the Top In Box Office! With the Top 5 really shaping up it was strange to see how Paranormal Activity rose to the top only to fall again. It is good to see Argo up top. With a political type movie in the midst of Election Time, it all goes to show what is really going on. What movies are you seeing this week?
