Whoopi Goldberg To Guest Star On ’666 Park Ave.’

Whoopi Goldberg must either be getting paid really well, or she must have really liked the concept, for her to guest star on the new TV show ‘666 Park Ave.’ I has been reported that, she is slated to appear on the show’s 9th episode, which shall be airing in  December. The episode shall see Jane (Rachael Taylor) seek out Maris Elder (Whoopi Goldberg) a mysterious shut-in and longtime resident of the Drake. Maris shall in turn help Jane understand her supernatural connection to the building by using a radical method of hypnosis.

Anyone who has seen the first episode of the show is aware of the spooky atmosphere that, the show managed to create in its first episode. It would be interesting to see how much more intriguing the proceedings can get, as the show unfolds. For those who haven’t seen it and don’t have an idea about the show, the name of show should give you a clue. As the 666 in the name suggests, it’s got something to do with the devil. The genre of the show falls under horror and possibly even sci-fi.

The building in question is apparently owned by the devil, and is also seemingly a gateway to hell. The devil basically makes the residents of the building do things for him, in return for fulfilling their deepest desires. Whoopi on her part is possibly appearing on anything to do with the supernatural, after a long time. Also, her role sounds to be pretty grim on this show, in comparison to the other roles she usually plays. It would be interesting to see how convincingly she pulls it off.

Her last acting assignment was playing the role of Carmen Tibideaux on the hit TV musical Glee. She surely wouldn’t be able to derive any inspiration from her role on Glee, in order to help her enact the part of Maris Elder on ‘666 Park Ave.’ Besides her role on TV, she has also recently acted in a movie called Black Dog Red Dog starring Olivia Wilde and James Franco, which is slated to be released soon.
