It’s based on an upcoming book by “Bitter Is the New Black” author Jen Lancaster. Inspired by the teachings of Martha Stewart, the show’s lead begins writing a self-help book as she strives to become a better role model for her daughter. Stewart herself is not expected to appear on-screen but will likely make occasional voiceover appearances. Austin Winsberg – best known for creating John Stamos comedy Jake in Progress – will write the pilot script and serve as showrunner.
