Reid announced that he is going to be leaving the show at the end of the 2nd season. No news as of yet if Britney Spears or Demi Lovato are coming back for another season, but chances are, they will. Reid wants to concentrate doing what he does best and be a CEO of Epic Records.

Reid told Access Hollywood that, “I have decided that I will not return to The X Factor next year. I have a company to run that I’ve kind of neglected.” The music guru has been thinking of this for a while and says that it is best to get back to business and be there for his company. He, although sad that he has to leave, says that he happy that he is moving on to things that matter more to him. Despite the rumors of Simon Cowell and Reid having bad blood, Reid saidXFACTOR_PROMO_3-e1343094127537 that he has “the utmost respect for Simon Cowell.”

The second season of ‘The X Factor’ is nearly the end with Finalists Tate Stevens, Carly Rose Sonenclar and “Fifth Harmony”. With the Finale next week, there are already the predictions going around. As for Reid, he is going to be finishing out the season and is hoping for his guy Tate Stevens will win it all.

Reid’s time on the X Factor was longer than Steve Jones, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger for sure, but it is good that Reid is concentrating on things that matter more and be able to continue in his company.
