Kevin Hart To Host ‘SNL’
It has been revealed that the SNL episode on March 2 shall be hosted by the renowned comedian Kevin Hart. The announcement was made during the live broadcast of the February 16 episode of the show. Hart will be supported by musical guest Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. This will be Hart’s first time hosting the show.
For those unaware, Hart began his career with amateur comedy competitions at clubs throughout the New England area, and he got his first real break in 2001 when he was cast by Judd Apatow for a recurring role on the TV series Undeclared. The series only lasted one season, but it was enough for him to get his name out and land other roles in movies like Paper Soldiers, Scary Movie 3, and Along Came Polly.

His comedic reputation began to grow with the release of his first stand-up album I’m a Grown Little Man in 2009. This was followed by
Seriously Funny in 2010, and in 2011 Laugh at My Pain in 2011, most arguably his most successful stand-up act so far. Since starring in bit roles in popular movies such as “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Death at a Funeral” and the “Scary Movie” films, Hart took the lead in the surprise hit “Think Like a Man” last year. He’ll next be seen in the remake of the romantic comedy “About Last Night”. On television, Hart recently hosted the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, and he is also currently starring in the BET comedy “Real Husbands of Hollywood”.
Macklemore and his producer Ryan Lewis will also make their “SNL” debut in the episode. The single “Thrift Shop” from their album “The Heist” has topped the charts in several countries. Besides the March 2 episode, no details about any other future episodes of SNL have been revealed.
