Cast Of ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Finally Gets A Raise

Submitted by on October 1, 2012 – 1:00 pm Comments

The cast of the show had asked for a raise and they got it. Also, they did not have to struggle much or negotiate much in order for TLC to give them the raise. The simple reason for this, which even the most naive can figure out, is the fact that, the show has seen unprecedented popularity and success in terms of ratings, since it began.

Therefore, from a salary of around $5000 to $7000 an episode at the beginning of the series, the cast members shall now see an impressive raise, in the region of $15000 to $20000. TLC has in fact gone the extra mile and offered to cover various expenses including a bodyguard/driver for Sugar Bear, who was incapacitated after his ATV accident. Nothing succeeds like success as they say; hence America’s favorite redneck family has today become the apple of TLC’s eye. TLC is really going overboard in trying to help the family, as a matter of fact. As a part of this effort, it has offered to shift the family into a more secure home.

June though, has surprisingly turned down this offer, as she supposedly celebrates Christmas at her house in a really big way, decorations and all. The town’s community too is involved in this celebration. She basically made her attachment to her town, amply known. You can’t help but respect June for the stand she has taken, as most people in her place would have taken up the network on its offer. What is even more impressive is the fact that, June has been turning down agents who have been hovering around her house, trying to sign up the family for various deals and endorsements.

Her logic is that, she doesn’t want to make money the sole object of the show and she’s worried if she signs with an agent that person will talk her into making various appearances that will take her away from her family. Although, many would say that June isn’t being very wise, as it’s better to make hay while the sun shines, which in other words means that, the family should try and make as much money as it can, before the popularity of the show runs out.
