Stellan Skarsgard Says “Nymphomaniac” Sex Scenes Won’t Be Real

Stellan SkarsgardLast month Shia LaBeouf made numerous headlines when he spoke about his role in the new Lars von Trier film “Nymphomaniac.” The film is supposed to be a woman’s sexual journey from the time she’s born until she’s 50 years old. LaBeouf said that he would do anything that von Trier told him to do, and that included actual intercourse. He said “There’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we’re doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening.”

But now, LaBeouf’s costar Stellan Skarsgard has said that the film is not quite what you might think. He said that when it’s been called a porno, it was meant ironically, but it’s hard to put that into print. He said that while the film is sexually explicit, it will be a “very, very bad wanking movie.” You can almost hear the disappointed sigh of men everywhere. Skarsgard also stated that they would be using body doubles and visual effects.

Uh, that’s not what LaBeouf said! What’s what the real deal on the film? Skarsgard is definitely downplaying the sex in the film. And if it’s all just body doubles and visual effects, why did LaBeouf make all the fuss over it being the real deal?

I wonder just how awkward it was when LaBeouf met his new co-star, Stacy Martin. They posed together for some photos before they get started shooting the film in Cologne, Germany. von Trier was there, but refused to speak after he made some controversial comments last year. And looking at the cast of the film, I’m not exactly sure who would want to watch all those folks having sex.  Shia LaBeouf

According to LaBeouf, he actually filmed a sex tape with his girlfriend and sent it into the director, and that is how he was cast for the film. I feel pretty sorry for his girlfriend. And all of this is actually pretty disgusting to me. von Trier is planning on shooting two different versions of the film. A pornographic version and a soft core cut. Why bother? Anyone who doesn’t want to watch pornography will not want to see the film. von Trier’s producing partner said that von Trier actually wants to see the “sexual arousement of a girl” on screen. Uh… The more I type, the more I feel like this whole film is one massive bad idea.

I really don’t know anyone who will go see this film. Maybe it has some kind of appeal besides the whole sex thing, but I have yet to hear about it. The whole thing just gives me a dirty vibe. But what about you? Do you plan on seeing this film?
