‘Bachelorette’ Emily Maynard and Jef Holm Break Up

Submitted by on October 17, 2012 – 11:42 am Comments

It is sad to say that the two individuals whom the nation over believed to be the strongest of the Bachelorette’s Seasons have indeed broken off their engagement. Emily Maynard and Jef Holm called it quits yesterday and Emily seems to already be showing that she isn’t heartbroken over the deal. Now the questions of all the rumors that have been going around are going to be put into question.

Despite the couple saying that it was a difficult and heartbreaking decision, Emily Maynard stepped out today without any sign of the engagement ring she received. It is a sad day because many fans, including myself, felt that the couple was battling the hits that came from every corner. First with Holm’s brother saying that Emily was “sexting” an old flame and then with Jef talking and flirting with an ex-girlfriend, the stories seemed far-fetched and filled with holes.

However, now everyone is going to have to look back on all the rumors and question whether this was just a sham. It would be interesting to know what happened with the couple, who just last week were defending their relationship and saying that it is stronger than ever. However, given the pressure the two were under (than again you sign up for that when you do shows like ‘The Bachelor’ or ‘The Bachelorette’) it is clear on why the couple wanted to call it quits. Sad, just sad!

This officially makes Trista Rehn the only Bachelorette to be able to keep her word from the show that is until Ashley and J.P get married. The couple are said to be getting married with the year and moving to New Jersey. The most shocking in all of this is the on how the two have bounced back. Usually we hear of how distraught the couple is and that they can’t come out. That is what a normal woman would do!

However, it was clear, just as it was with Courtney Robertson and Ben Flajnik, that when they said yes on the show, that it was clearly “just for the cameras” and their moment of fame. It is always good that a couple realize that their love is not going to survive before going through with the vows and holy matrimony part of life, but it is just putting too many questions out for them. It could be that the couple are going to ride the “what happened” train for a little and they will disappear like former contestants of the show.
