Walt Disney Pixar has announced the making of Despicable Me, and quiet about Finding Nemo 2. They are working quietly behind closed doors bringing back Ellen DeGeneres as the voice of Dory. She had been out of the mix before the First Finding Nemo and it looks like they will be doing it again. She has not done much acting stuff since the hit movie. Writer and Director of the original Finding Nemo Andrew Stanton, is to be returning for the project. He will not be writing the script because Victoria Strouse will be taking on that responsibility. There is no indication when the news for film will be officially release to the public or when they expect it to hit theatres. Disney Pixar is also working on the spinoff of Despicable Me, which could be released around the same time Finding Nemo 2 comes out.

According to MoviesBlog, director Stanton said “”There are some stories, there are some characters, there are some subplots that do benefit, if handled correctly, by going longer,” he said. “I’m sure you’ll see some other sequels of things as they grow because now we [Pixar] are not so blinded. It’s the originals that keep us really going and it’s the sequels that are like comfort food, and I think it’s the same way for the audience.”

Despicable Me has a spinoff and an actual sequel to the movie. The spinoff is going to be a movie about the little yellow minions that were seen in Despicable Me. The demand from fans to see these little guys was too much temptation for Pixar to pass up. They feel it will help boost the sales for the sequel in 2014. The minion’s movie will be coming out in December of 2013.

This is only the beginning for Pixar who will also be doing additional movies that are not officially announced. Some of the hopes to see by fans are Monsters Inc. 2 and possibly another cars movie. The second Cars movie did not do as good as the first. Pixar is hoping to do a much better remake of Despicable Me and Finding Nemo 2. The search will continue for Pixar to find the official character voices for both movies. This puts some hopes into Pixar fans because this is just what they have been waiting for.
