Peter Jackson surely brought some happiness and joy to great many fans world over; when he revealed that the new trailer of ‘The Hobbit’ is coming this week. The movie is yet to release; therefore fans of LOTR would surely be thankful at being served a slice of the tantalizing movie, in the form of a trailer. The movie is set to be released within the next 3 months, but it’s Tolkien Week, which called for something special.

Peter Jackson wished his fans a Merry Tolkien Week on Facebook through a video he uploaded, and that is when he also made an announcement about the new trailer that’s coming our way this week, as well as some “special content” that will be released. This year shall also be the 75th anniversary of ‘The Hobbit’, therefore the occasion is even more special, and there couldn’t have been a better way to celebrate Tolkien week than this trailer. According to the video he recently posted, the trailer will arrive this Wednesday (September 19). “It’s gonna be an exciting week,” Jackson says on the video. With the hope of some new footage and the promise of some “special content”, exciting isn’t a word most fans would like to go for, they would instead probably want to opt for a much more fantastical adjective.

Till the trailer makes its way to the public domain, you could regale yourself till Wednesday, with the latest photos of the movie doing the rounds, which show Sylvester McCoy as Radagast the Brown.  For the uninitiated, ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is about a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug.

The premise itself promises loads of special effects, besides an inherent sense of adventure. Those who have read the book, are eagerly waiting to see if Jackson has done justice to the book, like he had earlier done with the LOTR series. While others who haven’t read the book but are fans of the LOTR films, would be waiting to see how much more fun ‘The Hobbit’ turns out to be, than the previous films.
