The Hangover part 2Just before “The Hangover Part II” came to theater, director Tod Phillips started making plans for “The Hangover Part III.” According to Phillips, the third film of the series will NOT be filmed “in the same template” as the first two. Now we’re all asking, just what kind of a mess will The Wolfpack get themselves into this time.

Zach Galifianakis revealed to Rolling Stone a little bit of what “The Hangover Part III” may be about. According to his interview, this third film will focus on the Wolfpack helping Galifianakis’ character, Alan, escape from a mental institution.

It’s not a far stretch of the imagination to picture Alan in this type of setting. We all know the character has some issues and a few weird mannerisms. What is up in the air is exactly why the Wolfpack, who consists of Phil, played by Bradley Cooper, Stu, played by Ed Helms, and perhaps even Doug, played by Justin Bartha, will need to come to Alan’s rescue.

Most people believe that this third film could go either way, depending in part on the screenwriter, Craig Mazin. Hopefully there will be plenty of opportunities for these comedy pro’s to show off their skills. They won’t be alone however. John Goodman has now been linked with the film and is expected to have a small role as an antagonist. Some others who have committed to the film are Ken Jeong, Mike Epps, Heather Graham and Sasha Barrese. Heather Graham will be reprised her role as Jade, who was quite popular in the first film, though was not included in the “Hangover Part II” cast. Ken Jeong, who stole the show in the first two films, is sure to be a fan favorite again in part three.John Goodman joining Hangover Three cast

The film, which is being made by Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures, will begin filming this fall. “The Hangover” was released in 2009 and told the story of a bachelor party in Las Vegas gone wrong with the groomsmen lose the groom after a crazy drunken night. The film was the tenth highest grossing film of 2009. It grossed over $467 million worldwide.

“The Hangover Part II” was quite nearly the exact same film as the first one, with another bachelor party gone wrong, only this time, the Wolfpack are lost in Thailand. Many fans believed the film was funny, but were hoping for something a bit different. Hopefully this third installment will be able to deliver all the fans are wishing for.

“The Hangover Part III” is set to be released May 24th, 2013.
