The Lone Ranger is one of the big ticket movies slated to be released in the latter half of 2013.  With big names like director Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp attached to the project, it’s a little wonder, it’s a movie that’s being looked forward to. The movie as it turns out, is being produced sparing no expense with a budget hovering around the $200 million mark.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently took to his blog to update the fans on how things are shaping up. “Almost done with filming of The Lone Ranger,” begins Bruckheimer. “125 days of shooting seemed to fly by. We dealt with winds up to 70 mph, rain, snow, and even wildfires but nothing has stopped us from filming this incredible movie.”Jerry is anyway known to be the kind of guy who doesn’t spare an expense when it comes to making a movie; therefore no one is expecting The Lone Ranger to be an exception.

He also reveals the date of the release as July 3 2013, along with revealing that a few days of filming are still left, after which the pos-production work shall begin in full swing. The Lone Ranger also has an intriguing plotline with a Native American spirit warrior named Tonto, played by Johnny Depp, recounting the exploits which results in the transformation of a man named John Reid, a man of the law played by Armie Hammer, into the Lone Ranger; a crusader for justice.

Actors like Tom Wilkinson and Helen Bonham Carter amongst others are a part of the cast and will surely add to the monumental success that, this movie seems poised to become. Johnny Depp on his part has rarely been known to falter, and with his penchant for playing characters which are both quirky and memorable, this time too he looks poised to work his magic.

Armie Hammer on the other hand might be best remembered by all for playing Cameron Winklevoss and his twin brother Tyler Winklevoss, in the Oscar nominated film The Social Network. This time round, he has to shoulder a much bigger responsibility and if he can pull it off well, he might just be able to shuttle himself into the big leagues.
