FOX Calls For ‘Chronicle 2’ Rewrite
Remember earlier this year there was a movie that defied the possibilities and opened our minds to new things. Yes, that would be ‘Chronicle’. Now, they want to make a sequel. Given that the first part grossed 126.6 Million in the Box Office with them only working with a 12 Million budget, Max Landis, the creator and writer of the first ‘Chronicle’ wants to give the audience more. However, there is one problem with the fact that 20th Century Fox wanting a rewrite of the complete script.
When Max Landis came up to the producers with the script, they told him that it wasn’t like the first and that they need another one just like that one. However, Landis wanted to make this like an Evolution of power and how things can change. John Landis, Max’s father is standing with his son on this and says that the first draft is perfect and that he is with him 100% on this. It seems that originality according to 20th Century Fox is not as important to repeat what just was done.
As many people know, the first installment of ‘Chronicle’ starred Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell, or Michael B. Jordan. There is no word as to whether or not they will be returning to the set, but if the movie is truly a sequel, than they would not. The details are still being worked out, but it is clear that they are determined to make a movie just as good or even better. ‘Chronicle’ pushed the envelope and kept people on the edge of their seats trying to understand what made the main character go insane.
