Finding Nemo 2 being madeFinding Nemo was a film that was liked by both young and old. Also, those who saw it when they were young and are now older simply can’t forget how touching the film was. Hence, it isn’t surprising that Hollywood is doing what it does best; milking the popularity of Finding Nemo by creating a franchise.

In other words, you shall once again see Nemo on the silver screen, in Finding Nemo 2. In fact, the plans for a sequel was announced in July 2012, but since then there hasn’t been any other news about the progress of the project; until recently that is. Many might have assumed the project was shelved, but it’s recently been revealed that Albert Brooks has just closed a deal to join the sequel’s voice cast ensemble, which means we shall surely get to see the clownfish on the big screen once again.

Brooks has been roped in to reprise his role as Martin, Nemo’s father. The good news is, Ellen DeGeneres who was the Finding Nemo sequelvoice of Dory in the original film shall also be returning. Andrew Stanton who directed the original film shall be helming the sequel. Reportedly, Stanton already has a script in mind, but the details of the script aren’t being revealed just yet and for the moment the script is a closely guarded secret.

Finding Nemo was reintroduced to the present generation in September 2011, when a 3D version of the film was released. It was probably the positive response the 3D version received that prompted the idea of a sequel. For those unaware, Finding Nemo is a film about the adventures of a timid clownfish in search of his son Nemo who has been captured and taken to Sydney.
