Armie Hammer Might Play Batman In Justice League Movie

Submitted by on October 9, 2012 – 1:00 pm Comments

Armie Hammer is known for his role in ‘The Social Network’ and more recently for ‘Mirror Mirror’, but it has to be agreed that, the guy has the personality to play a superhero. Well, he is going to be playing somewhat of a superhero in the forthcoming film ‘The Lone Ranger’, in which he is slated to play the part of the Lone Ranger. But, he might just get the opportunity to play a fully certified superhero, if he is chosen for The Justice League movie, which is in the pipeline.

In fact, he was cast as Batman in the Justice League movie that George Miller spent years putting together before it fell apart. Miller subsequently moved on to his Mad Max sequel ‘Fury Road’. Therefore, it was forgotten that, Armie was ever considered for the role of Batman in any capacity, but with The Justice League movie being revived by Warner Brothers again, the chances of Armie being reconsidered look bright.  This time round Will Beall has written the script for the film, and a plethora of directors are being considered to helm the project. The movie doesn’t have a confirmed release date as yet.

It could safely be said that, this movie would be ‘The Avengers’ for Warner Brothers, and the studio would surely want it to be an even bigger success than ‘The Avengers’. The budget for this movie too would have to be huge, to accommodate the kinds of heroes the JLA has. But first, the studio would probably like to see how its forthcoming superhero movie the highly anticipated ‘Man of Steel’ performs at the box office.  If the promos of the film are anything to go by, the movie looks all set to make at least a billion dollars at the box office.

It’s basically a season for superheroes and Warner Brothers should try and cash in on it as quickly as possible, because public choice is fickle and might change, especially if ‘The Justice League’ movie takes too long to get made. As far as Hammer playing Batman is concerned, it would be refreshing to see someone else other than Christian Bale play Batman for a change.
