Simon Cowell Being Haunted By ‘The Voice’

Submitted by on September 12, 2012 – 1:00 pm Comments

Seems like the ghost of ‘The Voice’ is somehow just not ready to be exorcised from Simon Cowell’s life, try as he might. One example of this is the whole incident where the judges of ‘The Voice’ including Christina Aguilera crashed Simon’s bash, which was being hosted by him for the launch of the new season of X-Factor.  To top it all, the party was crashed by the judges of the rival show, in a huge bus. Another incident was when Simon was talking about the premier of X-Factor, and a double-decker bus passed by from behind him, and on it as you might have already guessed was a huge billboard of ‘The Voice’.

Honestly, anyone would think that these occurrences simply can’t be coincidences. It’s as if Simon is trying to play some cruel joke on himself, by orchestrating these things, or someone from ‘The Voice’ is keeping a close watch on Simon’s every move and timing these things to perfection. On his part, Simon when he saw the bus pass by from behind him must have been pretty surprised, he though covered it fairly well by saying “That was timed”.

In fact, it was Simon who brought the bus to notice of the cameramen who were present. He probably must have assumed that the cameras had already captured the bus, and therefore tried to play it smart by mentioning about it himself, before anyone else could. One must admit, he is trying his best to be as gracious as he can about the whole thing,  but somewhere inside he too must worry about ‘The Voice’ and ‘X-Factor’ being pitted against each other.

He must surely be hoping and praying that the ghost of ‘The Voice’ doesn’t eat into the ratings of ‘X-factor’. He has recently been mainly questioned about the clash of the two shows, by various sections of the media, and has given varied answers to each and every question. But sometimes, his usual wit fails him; a proof which was exhibited when a section of the media said “may the best TV show win” and all Simon could manage to come up with was “No. Let the ‘X Factor’ win.”
