Sandy Floods Donnie Whalberg’s Apartment
Well, here is an example of how Mother Nature doesn’t discriminate between a celebrity and a commoner. Recently, Donnie Walberg had to face the ire of Hurricane Sandy, and it resulted in his apartment flooding. The whole of East Coast faced a similar situation yesterday. Whalberg in fact shot footage of himself sloshing his way through his flooded apartment, which surely must have been a surreal experience for him, and something like he must have never experienced before.
The Blue Bloods star Tweeted “My entire building is under a foot of water. Awesome neighbors all banding together to help each other! Stay safe!” One has to concede, its experiences and incidents like these that bring people closer together as a community. As a matter of fact, a short time after his first Tweet, Wahlberg posted an update — “Safe & Sound on Higher Ground! Don’t worry about me. Material things are meaningless. Check in with those you know in the storm!” A sensible suggestion on his part, it has to be said.

Truly, material things don’t matter at times like these, what matters is that you ensure your family, friends and neighbors are safe. Hurricane Sandy has caused widespread devastation throughout NYC, and has brought the city to its knees. It is therefore required that each individual help the other at this time of need. Nearly an estimated 7 million people are without electricity due to the hurricane and 16 lives have reportedly been lost in NYC alone. Sandy’s impact on the United States stretched from North Carolina to New England with tropical storm force winds stretching far inland and significant mountain snows in West Virginia.
The cyclone brought a significant storm surge to New York City on the evening of October 29, with numerous streets and tunnels flooded in Lower Manhattan and other areas of the city. As of 11 a.m. EDT (01500 UTC) October 30, Post-Tropical Cyclone Sandy is located near 40.5°N 77.0°W, about 120 miles (190 km) ESE of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and about 145 miles (233 km) west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. So basically for now it has moved away from NYC.
