It is one thing to look young and get complimented for it, but it’s a totally different thing to be considered so young that, despite being in your 30s you aren’t considered to be an adult. Basically, 31-year old Rachel Bilson, who essays the role of Dr. Zoe Hart on the TV show ‘Hart of Dixie’, recently realized the pitfall of looking too young. It seems she was stopped by security at the airport, who thought she was a child.

“I know I look super young. I was flying back home into LAX the other day and the security guard at the airport stopped me and said, ‘Honey, where’s your family?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m 31!’” Bilson was quoted as saying, explaining the whole situation. Those who know how Bilson looks would partly agree with the fact that Bilson does look pretty young, mainly due to the fact that she has a petite frame. But, it is difficult to digest the fact that Bilson was mistaken for a child, because she might look in her early 20s but not any younger.

 It could be fully possible that Bilson concocted the whole story just to brag about how young she looks, or the security at the airport wasn’t really very smart or had poor eyesight. Bilson on her part joked about the incident and was quoted as saying “maybe when I’m 40 I’ll appreciate it, but as I get older and get wrinkles I’m worried it’ll be, ‘She’s the weirdest-looking teenager I’ve ever seen’”. Yup, she is absolutely right, she would be a rather weird looking teenager once gets wrinkles. Maybe, she could put on some weight to accompany those wrinkles, so she looks her age rather than looking weird.

Turns out, Bilson isn’t the first celeb who has faced such a situation at the airport. Emma Watson, who we all know as Hermione from the Harry Potter films, was recently mistaken for an unaccompanied minor. Emma’s case seems more plausible though, as she is just 22 and for someone who is 22 to look like she is still a minor is quite believable. Luckily for Bilson, the makers of her show Hart of Dixie guessed her age correctly unlike the airport official and therefore cast her as a doctor on the show. Here’s hoping Emma Watson too is as lucky as Bilson, when it comes to filmmakers guessing her real age.
