Millionaire John McAfee Of McAfee Antivirus A Murderer?
Turns out, John McAfee, who is the man behind the McAfee antivirus, is wanted for murder in Belize. Allegedly, John is one of the prime suspects in the shooting of an American expatriate named Gregory Faull. Faull was reportedly gunned down at his home in San Pedro Town on the island of Ambergris Caye on Saturday — after an argument with McAfee had turned deadly. In fact, Faull had even complained to the mayor’s office claiming McAfee had been firing off guns and exhibiting “roguish behavior”. Although the reason behind John shooting Faull, is not yet known.
The police found Faull lying in a pool of blood, face down. The motive behind the killing has not yet been established. The police claim McAfee is currently “on the run from murder charges”. Faull was a neighbor of McAfee. In an interview with Wired, McAfee maintained his innocence. He also said that he is afraid the police will kill him. Interestingly, on May 2, 2012, McAfee’s property in Orange Walk Town, Belize, was raided by the Gang Suppression Unit. A GSU press release stated that he was arrested for unlicensed drug manufacturing and possession of an unlicensed weapon. McAfee was allegedly in the presence of his 17-year-old Belizean girlfriend. All charges were dropped and McAfee is suing the Belizean government for false arrest.
