Lindsay Lohan Pressured by Mom for Protection Order Against Dad

Submitted by on October 15, 2012 – 7:14 am Comments

Following the recent Lohan Clan drama, Dina Lohan is now wanting Lindsay to apply for a formal order of protection against her father, Michael. Although the rivalry between Dina and Michael Lohan has been brewing for quite some time, the origin of this particular situation can be traced back to an argument between Lindsay and Dina after leaving a nightclub.

Lindsay Lohan now regrets the inflammatory statements she made recently to her father, Michael Lohan, about Dina, complaining that her mother was high and acting “like the devil”.

Lindsay retracted her statements, live on TMZ, insisting that her mother was not on cocaine and calling her “wonderful”. Lindsay explains that after an explosive fight with her mother, still angry, she called her father to vent.

Michael Lohan has claimed to have his children’s best interests at heart, telling the New York Post that he is “very upset with the crowd around Lindsay” and refers to them as “negative influences”.

Lindsay assured TMZ, “Daughters have fights with their moms. It happens a lot. It’s normal” and, like her privacy was violated by Michael when he leaked the recording to the media, Lindsay announced that she was “done” with him.

Despite severing all ties with her father, Lindsay is rejecting her mother’s insistence that a permanent order of protection, which would prevent him from even calling, texting, or emailing her, is warranted.

Dina’s idea for a protection order isn’t limited to Lindsay. She wants Cody, Ali, and Michael Jr. to consider obtaining one. Michael, on the other hand, believes that his children need to be protected from Dina.

Lindsay will have an opportunity to elaborate on her troubling home life when she sits down with the legendary Barbara Walters for an exclusive interview.
