LAPD Tired Of Celeb Swatting Pranks

The Los Angeles Police Department has a huge complaint regarding the celebrity swatting pranks that have happened recently. Many may remember the Miley Cyrus, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber scare that cost the LAPD to deploy the SWAT Team to their homes. However when they go there, it wasn’t a crime scene like the 911 caller specified. The secret 911 caller is getting on the LAPD’s nerves and they have had enough of it.

When the LAPD is told that there is a dangerous crime happening, automatically, SWAT is called in. They move in with guns drawn and all it takes is some idiot and the party becomes deadly. This is something that the LAPD is worried about with the “swatting” pranks. This, coupled with the taxes being affected, is the reason this has become an issue. It cost a lot of money and manpower.

So what about the prank organizers? The great news as TMZ reports is that they have some leads that hopefully will turn out. Electronic footprints left when the people involved were making the calls. This could lead then right to where they need to be. One thing that has the LAPD thinking is that Ashton Kutcher’s place was scoped out for a while before any action was taken. Messing with the LAPD is never a good thing and many who have tried to have messed it up.

Who knows were or if the prank callers are going to strike again and actually do something. You can only cry wolf so many times before the LAPD is going to throw up their hands and not respond. This could prove deadly and that is what the LAPD doesn’t want to have to do. This is not the celebrity’s fault. Home invasions are never fun to have to deal with especially for a celebrity’s home. When you have an entire SWAT Team burst in, this costs the city money.

Hopefully they catch whoever has been doing this so that Los Angeles is going to have to do something drastic. Sure, everyone can have their fun pranking one another, but when it involves lives that is where the LAPD has a problem. Here’s hoping that the police can do what it takes to bring these people to justice.
