Lady Gaga Pays Julian ‘Wikileaks’ Assange A Visit

Submitted by on October 9, 2012 – 11:00 am Comments

Who between Lady Gaga and Julian Assange is more popular can be debated, but what can’t be debated is the fact that Lady Gaga really gets around. Just recently she was puking onstage in Spain the very next day she was in London at Harrods, launching her perfume and getting booed by her fans. Then she decided to pay Assange a visit in the Ecudorian embassy, which is right across the street.

Turns out, on Sunday night, rapper M.I.A. sent a tweet in Gaga’s direction, writing: “if ur at harrods today, come visit Assange at the Ecuador embassy across the st. im there. ill bring TEA and CAKE.” It was this Tweet that probably prompted Gaga to pay Assange a visit. After all, no one would want to miss an opportunity to meet the man who has created so much of a stir world over. Gaga must have also thought her visit would give her perfume launch some more publicity.

Assange on his part is under somewhat of a ‘house arrest’ as he can’t leave the Ecuadorian embassy. This is because, although the Ecuadorian government has given him asylum, the British government has said he would be placed under arrest the moment he leaves the embassy. Assange basically has sexual assault charges against him in Sweden. He and his people fear that, his arrest and extradition to Sweden, would lead to an eventual extradition to the US where he might even face the death penalty.

Directors like Michael Moore and Oliver Stone, have come out in his support and concur with the view that, Assange’s life would be in danger, if he is extradited to the US. Back to the Gaga and Assange meeting, the two not only met but also had dinner together. Gaga in fact, posted a photograph of her and Assange together, just in case people doubted her claims in any way. From all of this one thing can surely be concluded that, Gaga is now absolutely fine and has completely recovered, despite puking onstage in Spain for no less than three times. Whether M. I.A joined the two for dinner is not yet known.
