Kate Upton Cover Of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit EditionSports Illustrated apparently loves Kate Upton, just like her fans do, which is why she has been chosen yet again to grace the cover of its swimsuit issue, second year in a row. Being featured on the cover yet again is an even bigger honor owing to the fact that, this forthcoming edition shall mark the 50th Anniversary of the magazine. The new issue is slated to hit the stands on Tuesday.

Interestingly, this is for the first time that photo-shoots have been carried out in different corners of the world. Basically, the idea was for the 17 models that were a part of the shoot, to cover all the 7 continents. In other words, photo shoots were conducted in remote and picturesque regions of Africa and Asia. But, Upton was chosen for a shoot in Antarctica, which you can imagine isn’t exactly the most apt continent to wear a swimsuit on.

No doubt, she managed to warm things up even in Antarctica with her presence, but when she returned to her Kate Upton Cover Of Sports Illustrated Swimsuithome in Florida, Upton said she was “very, very sick. I don’t think you can go to Antarctica and stand in a bikini without that happening. But I didn’t die, and I’m OK now”. Despite having a not so pleasant experience at the end of it, Upton said she found the landscape in Antarctica breathtaking and called Antarctica “the most beautiful place I’ve ever been”.

According to Upton, her cover shot is where she is wearing the most clothes. “It was a sort of I-love-you from the editor: ‘I’ll let you wear a coat for this one’” she said about the cover shot. The photo shoot was carried out during summer in Antarctica, which is the only logical option really, if you don’t want to turn into an icicle. Kate Upton has one very sensible piece of advice for those of you who want to check out the Antarctic scenery: “You are definitely recommended to keep your clothes on”.
