Chad Johnson Pleads Not-Guilty to Attacking Wife

Submitted by on September 13, 2012 – 3:20 pm Comments

Chad Johnson recently put forth the argument that, he did not attack or beat his wife in any way. He has in fact pleaded his innocence and entered a “not guilty” plea to misdemeanor battery this morning for the alleged attack on his wife Evelyn Lozada. Turns out, Chad assaulted his wife Evelyn Lozado, by head-butting her, right after she confronted him with a receipt of a condom purchase. The receipt was found in Chad’s car. The only thing one can assume is that, Chad wasn’t really careful about his actions.

If it were to be assumed that, he was actually unfaithful to his wife and had indulged in some hanky-panky, he should have been extremely careful about clearing out any evidence of his infidelity, from his car. This incident also triggered the divorce proceedings between Evelyn and him. It isn’t very surprising that, she after the incident parted ways with Chad. If Chad is really guilty, what Evelyn has done doesn’t at all seem like a bad thing to do.

In fact, the whole thing if it’s true means, not only did he have the gall to cheat on his wife, but also assaulted her when she dared to question him. Chad if he did what he did must have never imagined that, this issue with his ex-wife would blow up to a proportion, where he would need to explain his actions in court and might eventually.  It also must worry Chad greatly that, he might be arrested and jailed for a year, if found guilty of any of his actions.

Chad’s attorney entered the football star’s plea in Broward County Court this morning. Chad was not there. But he surely must have hired an attorney who shall get him out of the trouble he has fallen in. Chad’s attorney entered the football star’s plea in Broward County Court this morning. Chad was not there at the court with his lawyer, when he was submitting the plea.  This is possibly because, he must have really had some emergency or it could also be because he was worried about the unnecessary attention he would attract.
