UPDATE: According to news sources like Zap2it, Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon are NOT engaged. The rep didn’t give any details as to why the couple broke off the engagement except for “You have to watch the show”. Publicity stunt anyone?

It is official! Bobbi Kristina Brown is engaged to Nick Gordon. Now, news like this is special because it is one of the most controversial of them. Brown is going to marry her adopted brother. Brown stepped out in a sapphire and diamond bauble back in August, which is very similar to Kate Middleton’s ring that Prince William gave to her. However, the two finally made it official despite the disagreements from many.

This is not all though! The engagement is to be on Lifetime’s ‘The Houstons: On Our Own reality show! The show will show the Houston Family as they try to move on post Whitney Houston’s death. That alone has caused the fans of Whitney upset. They feel that this is a way of making money off of the late “I Will Always Love You” singer. In a clip of the show, the family isn’t too pleased to hear of the engagement.

The show is to be a show stopper after this announcement because there will be fighting, arguing and name calling for sure with the

news that Brown gives her family. As the Godson of the Houstons, Nick is not seeing anything wrong at this new engagement and possible marriage. The family is surely dreading the day when Brown would want kids and Nick is only there to give them to her.

Bobbi Kristina is not responding much to her family’s criticisms and she wants to make sure that she is going to have a long and happy life with Nick. Earlier it was reported that her family felt that her inheritance would kill Brown. However, with the love of someone who understands her might be something that she needs.

The series kicks off on October 24 on Lifetime and is sure to turn heads as we watch the Houston Family try to get more of their 15 minutes of fame. With promising tears, backbiting and insults a plenty, do you think that this is going to be one to watch? Tune in on the 24th to see if any of the fans’ expectations of the show come to light.
