Bill and Giuliana RancicBill and Giuliana Rancic welcomed their first baby, a bouncing little boy, into the world yesterday in Denver. The couple announced their little bundle of joy on Thursday morning via Twitter. “The ‘Duke’ has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4 oz.” Bill also stated that he and Giuliana feel blessed beyond words and are so excited to be new parents.

The ‘Duke’ was born at 10:12 PM and the excited couple were there in the delivery room. Bill was even able to cut the cord and the sweet little boy was first held by his proud mama, Giuliana.

The couple had previously struggled with infertility. Giuliana had suffered a devastating miscarriage and later battled with breast cancer. The E! news anchor and Fashion Police co-host announced that they were expecting their first child thanks to a gestational surrogate. In June they announced that the baby would be a boy and that they would be giving him a very traditional name.

Bill, who is 41  years old, said that this is their happy ending. He said they didn’t give up or quit and that they were determined to have a good ending to their struggles to begin their family. Bill and Giuliana, who is 37 years old, will celebrate their five year wedding anniversary on September 1st.

The couple spent their last days sans baby by exploring nature and eating some amazing food. They hiked all over Colorado while they waited for that special phone call, announcing that their baby boy was on his way.

Last week, the couple went fly fishing, and shared pictures of them all decked out in their hiking boots and fishing pants. When asked on a scale of 1 to 100 how excited they were for the baby to get here, Giuliana replied by asking if one million was an option.Bill and Giuliana Rancic Fly fishing

The couple also enjoyed some relaxing time at the Ritz Carlton Residences, even twitting pictures of their views, and their delicious food, including a tall tower of strawberry shortcake.

I’m sure the couple is quite eager to put the past and their struggles with the miscarriage and double mastectomy behind them, and begin life as a new little family. According to Bill, this little boy deserves all the credit for saving Giuliana’s life. He said that because of the entire process, they would have never attempted IVF, which is how they found out about her cancer. I’m sure this couple feels so very blessed right now. And they deserve every bit of it.
