Apple Pays Tribute To Steve Jobs On First Death Anniversary
It’s been a year since the great Steve Jobs passed away, but every time one uses a product from Apple, they are basically being touched by his genius. Therefore it was only apt that, Tim Cook who has taken over the mantle from Jobs as the CEO paid him a heartfelt tribute, on the first anniversary of his demise.
Cook said in a letter: “Steve’s passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us. I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life and the many ways he made the world a better place. One of the greatest gifts Steve gave to the world is Apple. No company has ever inspired such creativity or set such high standards for itself. Our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. We share the same privilege and responsibility of carrying his legacy into the future. I’m incredibly proud of the work we are doing, delivering products that our customers love and dreaming up new ones that will delight them down the road. It’s a wonderful tribute to Steve’s memory and everything he stood for.”

He through this letter basically paid homage to a man, who was a genius in every sense of the word. There are many great CEOs who have turned around the fates of many great companies, but none have possibly managed to impact lives or read the pulse of their customers better than Steve Jobs did. Apple thanks to him, managed to churn out products that, defined generations. Be it the IPod, the IPhone or the MAC home computers and MAC books. Steve magically seemed to know just what the people wanted.
Also, let us not forget that he created Pixar, which one can say changed the fortunes of Disney in a big way and that too at a time when Disney really needed it to happen. But, Apple is what Jobs will always be best remembered for, as the products from Apple, be it a phone, a computer or a portable music player, have touched millions of lives in way that is difficult to explain. Basically, owing a product from Apple is like owning a piece of the legacy that, Steve left behind.
