AC/DC Releases Full Albums To iTunes!
Rockers of all ages can finally rejoice. If you don’t already own AC/DC on Vinal, 8-Track, Cassette Tape or CD already, now you can buy them through iTunes! For years the band didn’t want anything to do with the mega Music Store and as lead singer Brian Johnson said “iTunes is going to kill music if they’re not careful”. Now they have decided that it was time to move on.
The band sold its entire catalog (16 albums) along with 4 live albums and 3 compilations. The Australian natives allowed the service to enhance their sound and it rocks the same as it did from the beginning. AC/DC held out for a while even betting out hit bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd and even Led Zepplin. This means that Garth Brooks, the Country Superstar, has yet to release his music to the digital age.
Many artist fear that their albums are going to have to go this way, but it all pays off in the end. It is always important that artists move with the times. That is what it seems to happen with today’s music artists. Fans can buy an entire album for $10. That seems pretty fair if you ask me. Some fans feel that with iTunes, you can get all your CDs into one nice spot. It works best for DJ parties, but nothing really beats having the CD in your hand. With technology growing, it is clear that almost every artist is going to do this method.

AC/DC have shown their support to iTunes and that in itself was a gigantic feat. With songs like You Shook Me All Night Long,” “Highway to Hell,” “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap,” you can’t go wrong. Many have listened to these songs so much that they can’t play the CD anymore. The great thing with going digital is that people can listen to your songs a lot longer than a CD will get you. The Timeless band sure has made headlines before and let’s hope that they make it in the iTunes store as well.
