21 Year Old Rapper Tweeted About Drunk Driving Minutes Before Dying In Crash

Ervin McKinness TweetErvin McKinness was a 21 year old aspiring rapper. McKinness tweeted about driving drunk while speeding at 120 miles per hour just a few minutes before dying in a car crash that also killed four others. McKinness had posted the tweet at 1:19 a.m. on September 2. “Drunk af going 120 drifting corners #F***It YOLO.”

“YOLO” is the acronym that was made popular by Drake for “You Only Live Once.” Drake used the phrase in his song “The Motto.” There was another tweet on McKinness’s account that talked about drunk driving. “Driving tweeting sipping the cup f*** yolo I’m turning it up.” The tweet was deleted and later retweeted on the account.

At 1:40 AM, the 2005 Nissan Sentra that McKinness was in ran a red light and then lost control and hit a wall in Ontario, California at Creekside Drive and Haven Avenue. The car ended up in the backyard of a home. The other four who were killed in the crash were Marquell Bogan (23 years old) and Dylan George (20 years old) of Ontario, Jonathan Watson (21 years old) of San Bernardino, and JaJuan Bennett (23 years old) from Rancho Cucamonga.

Everyone had been announced dead on the scene except for Bogan. He was taken to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead. Even though McKinness was tweeting about driving, Watson was the actual person driving the vehicle. The tweets will be part of the investigation, but it’s too early to tell at the moment if the crash was caused by or contributed to by drunk driving.

Someone has taken over the rappers Twitter account and is attempting to clear McKinness’ name. They have been responding to others tweets about the fact that McKinness was not actually the one behind the wheel.

McKinness had just signed a record deal. In April, the rapper had posted an official video for his song “Dreams” on his Youtube channel. McKinness often went by the names Jew’elz and Inkyy.Ervin McKinness

McKinness ominous tweets remind us a bit of none other than the famous rapper, Tupac. Tupac’s verse on “Niggas Done Changed” has triggered so many conspiracy theories it’s insane. The lyrics are “I been shot and murdered, can tell you how it happened word for word, But best believe niggas gon’ get what they deserve.” Tupac was shot and murdered just two months before the song was released. The shooting took place on the strip in Vegas after a Mike Tyson fight. They police have never been able to identify the shooter and so the case remains unsolved.
